An online presence for your podcast is critical for getting the exposure you are looking for. Seasoned podcast listeners will probably always search for new shows in a dedicated podcast app, but lots of people look for new things to listen to with search engines like Google.

Hosting a website is often expensive and requires technical skills to maintain. But, it doesn’t need to be this way. You can get a free podcast website for very little effort if you know where to look.

Create a Podcast Website for Free

To begin, head over to freepodcastwebsites.com and click the Get Started button. This initiates an easy 3-step process that will automatically build a free website for your podcast.

✅ Step 1: Search for the name of your podcast. If you can’t find it, you can enter the RSS feed from your podcast host.

✅ Step 2: Verify you are the owner of your podcast by entering a verification code that is sent to you by email.

Step 3: Create a Transistor account. All you need is your name, email address, and password. You will need this account to manage or update your website in the future.

Once your account has been confirmed, you will be taken to a dashboard where you will see a link to preview your free podcast website. You will also see the URL for your new site.

Customizing Your Podcast Website Template

The default template is fine for most uses. It has everything you need, including the ability for website visitors to play your latest episodes. However, if you want to customize the theme to fit your brand and colors better, you can definitely do that.

Step 1: When logged into your dashboard, click Edit Theme & Design.

Step 2: Click the link that says, Switch Your Theme, to see the different templates that are available to you. If you find a template you like but aren’t crazy about the colors, you can learn how to customize those below.

Step 3: When you have selected the template you want to use for your podcast website, you can customize it by changing the colors. All you have to do is click on the color you want to change and replace it with the one that better fits your brand.

Adding Additional Pages and Links

By default, your website has three pages: Home, Episodes, and Subscribe. However, you can add to that selection by creating a new page, or by adding an external link to a Patreon page or other online site.

To get started, click the Manage Pages & Links button from your dashboard.

Next, you can fill out the details you want to add including the page title, heading, and content. You can add pages and links to the main navigation or to the footer navigation by checking one or both of the checkboxes on this page. When you are done, click the green Create Page button.

Even More Website Settings

At this point, your website is good to go. However, if you want to tinker some more, there are a few other options you can play with. You can add an introduction on your homepage as well as map a custom domain name or add Google Analytics. These features are listed under the Website Settings page.
